The Pool Industry Just Got a LOT Hipper
by Monique Nelson on June 26th, 2013

For those of you who don't know me that well, I would like to tell you how much I enjoy creativity. I am a marketer, after all. I especially love it when I get to experience talent that goes way beyond anything I can even dream up, let alone create. Which is why I am absolutely AWE-STRUCK by Matt Giovanisci of Swim University. You've heard me talk about him before, and I have always been impressed with his design skills, interviewing aptitude and writing ability. He has been bringing a fresh flavor in education to the Pool Industry for some time now, but he has outdone himself recently.

I count myself privileged to have known in advance what was coming, but I was astonished when his Rap Video was released. Yes, that's right. Rap Video. About Pool Care.

I'll be honest, I do get a chuckle out of it - really, who raps about Pool Care? Apparently he is also sufficiently passionate about his business to rap about "swimming, or floats. Or...skimming".

Without any further ado, I really should share the video with you. Enjoy!
I should have warned you about how catchy it is. I was actually walking my dog yesterday, chanting to myself about "Step 1: Circulate, Step 2: Clean it up, Step 3: gotta Chemicalize it"!!! I feel no shame in admitting that Nina Ward absolutely does a better job!

I keep listening carefully to the lyrics to see where the rhyme about liquid pool covers is... He must be saving it for his next rap.

In any case, After less than 2 days being live this video has already seen international acclaim. It was featured in a post from Australia's Splash Magazine:

Leave your comments about the video below, I'm sure Matt would love to hear your thoughts and I'll be sure he sees them. If you'd like more information about Pool Care, be sure to check out - there is always something exciting going on there.

I agree, Monique. We're lucky to have him in this industry. I also agree the chorus is 'uber-catchy', as Splash magazine called it, and was also singing it walking my dogs down the street. Go SU!
